Player Roles

Each player takes on the role of a representative of a particular segment of the community. You are not members of the local government, but influential individuals whose opinions will help to shape governmental decisions. The roles are color-coded for easy reference.

Player 1, you are a hotel manager. Your hotel is owned by an international company, and you represent the interests of large businesses with roots outside the town. Your business depends on tourists, and you are especially interested in proposals that will increase tourism.

Player 2, you are a local resident of the town. You own (or rent) a small house here, and you probably work in town, as well. Your concerns are for your family's well-being and prosperity, and you are especially interested in proposals that will improve the quality of life in town.

Player 3, you are a local business owner. You have a store in town, and your primary concern is the health of the local economy. You're especially interested in proposals that support local business in one way or another.

Player 4, you are a vacation resident of the town; you own or rent a large vacation home or a seaside condo, and you like to come stay in the town whenever you can. You are especially interested in proposals that make your visits more pleasant and convenient.
