Shortly before the beginning of the second turn, a Category 3 hurricane makes landfall a short distance up the coast from the town. The local emergency manager's evacuation plan is successfully implemented, and all of the evactuating populace are spared from harm. However, the wind and storm surge cause significant damage to many structures on the island.
