Black Swan Virus. One of the many species of birds nesting in the wetlands has apparently become host to a virus not seen before in this part of the world. Black Swan Virus is spread by mosquito bites, and though rare, is sometimes fatal. Travel agencies report that some tourists have been scared away from the area because of it.
