Septic Watertable (Prevented). Septic storm runoff from backed-up sewers washed into the wetlands, contaminating the watertable. A serious cryptosporidium outbreak could have resulted if the disease had not been detected early by the ecological monitoring station, which regularly tests the waters in the wetlands.
