Septic Watertable. Septic storm runoff from backed-up sewers washed into the wetlands, contaminating the watertable. The resulting cryptosporidium outbreak sickened a great many citizens and tourists in the week following the storm. Since then, the town has seen fewer tourists than normal for this time of year.
